Narrow Passage’s Braille Flag initiative began with our presentation of a framed Braille Flag containing the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States to VFW Post #2447 in Edinburg Virginia. Braille Flags also come with the National Anthem or the Preamble to the Constitution on them and there are many places that would welcome such flags. Photo courtesy Kathy Rivers

Veteran’s Christmas Project

To spread some holiday cheer to veterans in two local nursing facilities, chapter members donated gifts for the veteran residents. At the conclusion of our December meeting, members packaged the presents in gift bags and delivered them that afternoon. Distributing holiday gifts for our local veterans is an annual event. Veterans Day Luncheon

For the last three years, and scheduled again this year, Narrow Passage members have participated in Veterans Day ceremonies at the Massanutten Military Academy and the American Legion. DAR Medal of Honor Ceremony

On October 20, 2018, Narrow Passage hosted a DAR Medal of Honor Ceremony for Capt. John M. Billings who it had nominated for his WW II service and volunteer service as a pilot for Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic.
