The Chapter participates annually in the Shenandoah County Heritage Day event. We have a recruitment table, but members also mount subject-matter exhibits, and volunteer at other tables belonging to the County Library, local museums, and the County Historical Society. This photo also features our work identifying the first recruits in the American Revolution’s 8th Virginia Regiment, also known as the German Regiment, raised by Colonel Peter Muhlenberg.
